What We Do
A young Pakistani girl is prepared to die for Jesus; an 87-year-old Chinese pastor baptises 260 new converts in a river, at the risk of arrest; a Burmese Christian is undeterred by imprisonment, introducing 62 inmates to Christ; four Vietnamese Christians are imprisoned for smuggling Bibles into their village; a Christian in Turkmenistan is beaten nearly to death for preaching; and a Chinese woman is imprisoned for using her home for a Christian meeting.
Voice of the Martyrs is committed to telling their stories.
These Christians will not compromise their faith in Christ, even when tortured and abused in dark and lonely prisons. They are our brothers and sisters in Christ. We are “many members, but one body”, and therefore, just as we “rejoice with those who rejoice”, so we also “weep with those who weep” (Rom.12:15), for “if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it” (1 Cor.12:20,26).
Voice of the Martyrs is committed to providing support for prisoners and their families, and for the families of martyrs.
Christians in Restricted Nations are cut off from the resources of the Body of Christ, particularly Bibles and Christian literature, but also practical and material resources that facilitate ministry.
Through its covert and specialised operations, Voice of the Martyrs empowers and equips persecuted believers by providing Bibles, Bible translations, training programs, Christian literature, aids for evangelism, radio broadcasts, vehicles, motorbikes and bicycles, computers for translation work, printing equipment, audio/video cassettes, tapes and CDs, audio and video equipment, a variety of electronic equipment, musical instruments, and other practical supplies like life packs, mosquito nets, medical supplies, and equipment for underground churches (which may be as simple as a kerosene lamp).
Voice of the Martyrs is committed to equipping and empowering persecuted believers.
The Church in Western nations has adundant resources. The Lord has established this ministry for you, that you might be able to actively encourage and support your persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ. There is no greater support than the fervent prayer of intercession.
Voice of the Martyrs is committed to praying for persecuted Christians and the nations they witness in.
